Delivery and Returns

Delivery is FREE to UK Mainland Only.

Charges Apply to Islands and OffShore -

We aim to deliver most items within 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays), however some larger items may take longer.  We will email you an order acknowledgement to advise you of an estimated delivery date.

Delivery
Delivery is free of charge to the customer for United Kingdom Mainland addresses only.  For Offshore and remote areas, including Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Alderney and Scottish Islands a supplementary delivery cost may apply.

The delivery date shown on the acknowledgement, from Inverness Catering Centre Limited, shall be regarded as an estimate.   All products are subject to availability.  The Buyer must ensure that all products will fit through doorways and onto premises, Inverness Catering Centre Limited will not accept responsibility if it does not fit.

The goods shall be deemed to be delivered when deposited at the address designated by the Buyer.  It is the Buyers responsibility to ensure that they have sufficient staff and equipment to safely take receipt of the goods from the carrier.  All products include delivery to the door/kerbside (ground floor only) and does not include going on the premises, negotiating stairs or lifts, unpacking, positioning or assembling items.

Inverness Catering Centre Limited will only be held liable for damaged goods when the Goods are signed for as "received damaged".  Goods must be checked upon receipt, before you sign the delivery note.  If you sign the delivery note and have not checked the items Inverness Catering Centre Limited will not be held responsible for any claims that later arise through damage or missing items.   All damages and/or shortages must be reported within 24 hours, along with written notification to be recieved within three working days (to allow for Carrier claims) otherwise no claim can be made and Inverness Catering Centre Limited will accept no liability.

Any carriage charges caused by aborted delivery are the Buyers responsibility.  Subject to the other provisions of these Conditions, Inverness Catering Centre Limited, will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and like loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the Goods (even if caused  by Inverness Catering Centre Limited's negligence).

Any delay in delivery will not entitle the Buyer to cancel the order.  Inverness Catering Centre Limited will not be liable for failure or delay of the goods, if it is due to an event beyond the reasonable control of the Company.  The Buyer must ensure that someone is on site to accept and sign for delivery.  Any signature taken to accept delivery is binding.  If for any reason the Buyer will not accept delivery of any of the Goods when they are ready for delivery, or if the Company is unable to deliver the Goods on time because the Buyer has not provided appropriate instructions, documents, licences or authorisations:
Risk in the Goods will pass to the Buyer (including for loss or damage caused by the Company's negligence).
The Goods will be deemed to have been delivered.
The Company may store the Goods until delivery, whereupon the Buyer will be liable for all related costs and expenses (including without limitation, storage and insurance).
For larger machinery or refrigeration, where a delivery attempt has been made and failed, due to customer error, a subsequent delivery charge may be made.

Back Order:
If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you.  You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.


Returns
Goods supplied against a firm order may not be returned without the Buyer applying for, and receiving, the consent of Inverness Catering Centre Limited, at which time a Goods Return Authorisation Number will be issued.  Goods which have been incorrectly ordered or are unsuitable (unless an incorrect item has been received) will be subject to a re-stocking charge of 25%.  Returns can only be considered if the Goods are undamaged, unused and still in their original packaging, with original manuals.  Any item to be returned must be notified within 7 days of receipt and received within 14 days.  Any goods returned without authorisation or which are not in the condition set out above will be rejected and returned to the Buyer, at the Buyers expense.

The Buyer is responsible for returning Goods, ensuring all Goods are suitably packed and obtaining necessary proof of delivery and receipt.  Carriage charges for returning any Goods shall be the responsibilty of the Buyer.

Goods are not sold on a trial basis.  Goods supplied by special order, that are not listed on our website, may not be returned unless they are damaged on delivery or faulty.


Cancellation
Buyers who need to cancel an order must notify Inverness Catering Centre Limited as soon as possible and always within seven days.  The Buyer shall be responsible for all shipping costs on orders that have been shipped prior to cancellation, or that are refused at the time of delivery.  Inverness Catering Centre Limited reserves the right to charge a restocking fee on all cancellations and/or a 10% cancellation charge.  Cancellations cannot be accepted for goods supplied by special order, that are not listed on our website, once they have been shipped.


Electrical Product Recycling
The cost for collection and disposal of oligatory electrical items, as specified in the WEEE directive, is not included in the selling price.  However, upon request at the end of product life, collection and disposal can be arranged for a fee.  When ordering like for like replacements, if the disposal of the old unit(s) is required, they must be unplugged/disconnected from power supply, empty and in a reasonable state for transportation. 
Item(s) must be ready for collection at the time of ordering replacement(s).
